Trails are intrigral to enjoying natural areas throughout the state. We have installed trails on Natural Areas in for the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission, as well as, created senic walking areas on private land. In addition to creating trails we have also mainatained existing trails by removing brush, improving grade, and constructing bridges over creeks.

Windmill
As participating in efforts to block the development of additional coal fired power plants, we were asked, "What are you doing to get off the grid?"  Therefore, we held fundraiser so that we could buy a windmill and have it installed at the Dunbar Gardens.
Fencing
We have installed and removed miles and miles of fencing...
Water Quality and Discharge Projects

We have years of experiance with water quality projects including pollutant load projections and discharge calculations.

Some of our past projects tasks include:
Water Quality Monitoring and Pollutant Load Projections on eight rivers within Arkansas
Monitoring the Effectiveness of BMP at Reducing Total Suspended Solids in Agricultural Runoff
Monitoring the Effectiveness of BMP's in Reducing Non Point Source Pollution from Prescribed Fire
An Examination of the Water Quality Profile of the Upper Saline Watershed

Quality Assurance Officer
Preparation of EPA approved project designs; Quarter Reports, Quality Assurance Project Plans, QAQC Reports and Final Project Reports
Designed water quality sample collection frequencies according to approved EPA protocols (including storm water monitoring, discrete sampling and composite sampling via auto-sampler, and grab sampling)
Calibrated, installed, and utilized multi-parameter sondes, auto-samplers, pressure transducers, Sontek Rivercat®, electromagnetic flow meters, and additional technologies to conduct appropriate surveys
Developed discharge rating curves
Analyzed, compared and interpreted precipitation, water quality and discharge data
Estimated parameter loadings

We have coordinated with Arkansas Natural Resources Commission, Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Ouachita Baptist Water Laboratory, Ross Foundation, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, and numerous landowners.

Swaggerty Creek Restoration
The Swaggerty Creek Restoration site is located near the intersection of St. Chester and 33rd Street, near Interstate Park.  We started with nothing more than a 30 feet wide and 1500 feet long concrete ditch.  The headwaters of the creek are spring feed and begin near the historic Central High School. This restoration project entailed the removal of over 1,400 cubic yards of concrete and 7,800 cubic yards of soil to restore a concrete ditch into a healthy urban stream.
